Tash Kahn
Tash Kahn (Founding Member) was a painter for many years, she now works more site-specifically using a space’s immediate surrounding area and history as starting points. She is interested in how people engage with art, the conversations it generates and how it makes them feel. Kahn has exhibited both nationally and internationally and is co-founder of the visual-arts project DOLPH, and has helped facilitate 22 exhibitions. DOLPH provides an alternative way for people to engage with contemporary art, as well as being an invaluable learning and networking resource for artists. Kahn is also a freelance editor.

John Ros
John Ros is an artist, professor, curator and activist. He currently lives and works in New York City and Harrisonburg, Virginia. He obtained an MFA from Brooklyn College, City University of New York, in 2013 and a BFA from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2000. John is an Assistant Professor of Art at James Madison University’s School of Art, Design, and Art History, where he also serves as the Director and Chief Curator of the Duke Hall Gallery of Fine Art. John has taught at the City Literary Institute (London, UK), Brooklyn College (New York, NY), SUNY Binghamton (Binghamton, NY) and the National Academy of Art (New York, NY), and has lectured as a visiting artist at NYU: Steinhardt, London Metropolitan University, George Mason University, North Florida Community College and Jefferson Technical and Community College among others.
In 2015 John founded studioELL, an alternative, transient and hybrid space for higher education in the studio arts, where he is currently the Director and teaches a variety of courses.
During the past twenty years, John has worked on more than 70 exhibitions with over 250 artists. He founded and directed two alternative gallery ventures, pocket, (2002-2005, Binghamton, NY) and galleryELL, (2008-2016, New York, NY), and has been involved in many artist and non-profit initiatives such as; Board Member of Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance (2018-present, Harrisonburg, VA), Art Director of Perspectives International (2005-2008, New York, NY), Board Member of Spool MFG. (2004-2005, Johnson City, NY), and Museum Educator at the Hillwood Art Museum (2000, Brookville, NY).

Sutapa Biswas
Born in India and educated in the UK since the age of four, Sutapa Biswas is an interdisciplinary, conceptual artist working across a range of media including painting, drawing, film and time based media. With her background in fine art and art history, and frequently inspired by art historical and literary texts, Biswas’ works explore ‘spatial stories’ and the relationships between people and the places they live in. Underpinned by an interest in colonial histories and how this relates to gender, race and class, her art is nuanced by the ways in which oral narratives reveal the human condition and their relationship to our collective histories and to questions of space and time.
Biswas graduated with a BA in Fine Art with Art History from Leeds University, completed her postgraduate at the Slade School of Art and was a research student at the Royal College of Art. Her works have been widely exhibited including at Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool, Yale University Art Gallery (New Haven), ‘Mixed Bathing World 2015’ Triennial (Beppu, Japan), 6th Havana Biennial, Neuberger Museum (New York), Nara Roesler (Sao Paolo), Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto), Melbourne International Arts Festival, Whitechapel Gallery, Iniva (London), and ICA (London). Biswas has had solo exhibitions at Nara Roesler (Brazil), Iniva (UK touring), Douglas Cooley Gallery (Reed College, USA), PlugIn Institute of Contemporary Art (Winnipeg, Canada) in collaboration with Locus+ (Newcastle Upon Tyne,UK), Leeds City Art Gallery and The Photographer’s Gallery (UK). She was the 2008 Andrew W. Mellon Fellow at the Yale Centre for British Art, and is a European Photography Award 1992 nominee. Her artworks are represented in collections including: TATE; APT (New York); Arts Council England; Reed Gallery, USA; Graves Gallery, Sheffield Museums and Galleries, UK. Biswas is currently a Reader in Fine Art at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.
Sameer Kulavoor
Sameer Kulavoor’s practice lies at the intersection of graphic design, illustration and art. He has been creating a personal body of work, and self-publishing art books and zines that take a look at characteristic mannerisms and archetypal facets of urban surroundings, design and culture. Some of the zines he has created include Sidewalks & Coffeeshops ( 2009), Zeroxwallah Zine (2011), The Ghoda Cycle Project (poster-book, 2012), Blued (book/zine , 2013) Oh Flip (flipbook, 2013) and Kalaghoda Musings (accordion-fold panoramic art print, 2015).
Kulavoor’s works were most recently exhibited in a show titled Please Have A Seat at Artisan’s gallery in Mumbai (2016). He exhibited The Ghoda Cycle Project at WDC Helsinki in 2012 and in Mumbai in 2013 while also collaborating with Paul Smith on a series of Ghoda Cycle Tee-shirt designs that were released worldwide. Most recently, he has been working on a number of large scale public art projects and paintings which are on view in Auckland (New Zealand), Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. In early 2018, Kulavoor held his solo show comprising paintings and sculptures titled ’A Man of the Crowd’ at TARQ in Mumbai.
Kulavoor is the founder of Bombay Duck Designs (established 2008) and co-founder and co-curator of 100%ZINE (since 2011) – a visual arts magazine that discovers and showcases a wide range of visual art talent from India and abroad.
He currently lives and works in Mumbai.
Thomas Tsang
Thomas Tsang’s work integrates artistic practice with architecture in installations and exhibitions. His curatorial projects includes Cloud of Unknowing: A City with Seven Streets (2014) at Taipei Fine Arts Museum (w/ Roan Ching-yueh), Grand Opening Projects (2013–2016) at Miniature Museum in Beijing, ‘10 x 100 Exhibition’ at PMQ (2017), and recently, 2018 Hong Kong Exhibition at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition. He is recipient of numerous awards, including the coveted Marion O. and Maximilian E. Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome, Civitella Ranieri Fellowship, and Mellon Artist in Residence at the Wellesley College. His work has exhibited at the UABB (Shenzhen), M+ Museum, MNAC Bucharest, 10th Shanghai Biennale, Shanghai Project and Sandwich Gallery in Bucharest. His current creative research project entitled Sounding Architecture tackles in the area of sound and space exploring the diverse sensibilities in performance genre.
His publications include ‘On the Edge: Ten Architects from China’ (2007) and ‘Open City: Existential Urbanity’ (2015). He is the co-chief editor for The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Journal, Occupy and chief-editor of Sounding Architecture Manifest. Taught at the Cooper Union and China Academy of Art, currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture, at The University of Hong Kong.

Gustavo Ferro
Gustavo S. Ferro was born in Santos (1988) and moved to São Paulo in 2007 to study Visual Arts at Centro Universitário Belas Artes. During his degree he was one of the founders and member of Beco da Arte, an artist run space and collective that organised exhibitions and art events. Between 2012 and 2015 he coordinated Phosphorus, an independent art space in São Paulo, focused in the critique of process and art residencies. Gustavo’s solo shows include: Grinding Series at SWG3 Gallery, Glasgow (2016); Ground Control at Sé Gallery, São Paulo (2016); Nada Justifica el Dibujo at Big Sur Galería, Buenos Aires (2015); Piquetes Anônimos at Paço das Artes, São Paulo (2015); Resta um Resto at Phosphorus, São Paulo (2014); and Situação CCSP at Centro Cultural São Paulo (2010). He participated in residencies in Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Spain and United Kingdom.
In November 2017 Gustavo moved to England and currently resides in Glasgow. He was invited to join School of the Damned class of 2019, an alternative post-graduate education programme based in the UK.
