Vishwa Shroff

Vishwa Shroff’s artistic practise is firmly rooted in drawing, with a proclivity towards architectural forms that serve as compelling take-off points for a deeper contemplation on memory and our relationship with the material world. Her works seek to explore the narratives of lived experiences that lay embedded within surfaces. Shroff trained at The Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU, Baroda in 2002 and at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (UK) in 2003. She has had five solo exhibitions in India and the UK as well as several group shows. She has also participated in several artist residencies, most recently at the Swiss Cottage Library in Camden, London and as been the recipient of the UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists in 2011. Her work was most recently part of TARQ’s presentation at Art Basel Hong Kong 2018.

Katsushi Goto

Katsushi Goto is an architect/urbanist who is currently researching domesticity in ideal family home and public spaces allied to interior urbanism. He holds MArch from H&U, AA School. He is director of design/research firm Squareworks, Mumbai, partner at apartment co., ltd. Tokyo, assistant professor Meiji University, Tokyo, and visiting associate professor CEPT University, Ahmedabad.

Charlie Levine

Charlie Levine is an independent curator, artistic director, project manager and lecturer working in London and Mumbai. With an MA in Critical and Contextual Art Practices from Birmingham City University, Levine started her curatorial career as founder and curator of TROVE, an independent art gallery in Birmingham, which ran from 2009 to 2013. She was formerly Arts Manager, Camden Council, and managed several large scale programmes and projects including Camden is…, Camden’s London Borough of Culture bid where they were awarded a Cultural Impact Award (2017); Camden Sentido, which celebrated the links between Camden and Brazil during the Rio de Janeiro Para/Olympics (2016); and Camden50, the 50th anniversary celebrations of Camden Council (2015).

Levine’s curatorial practice centralises on in/visible networks, creating and bringing together communities, and working site responsively. Her key exhibitions and projects include Sluice__, art fair, London, and international expo, Brooklyn (2013 – 2017); The Tale Tellers, online (2013); Thrift Radiates Happiness, Birmingham Municipal Bank (2013); and Creative Machines / Minimalist Sculpture, Curzon Street Station (2011).

She is currently curator of ITV Creates, a year long project of 52 artists being shown on ITV throughout 2019.

Rose van Mierlo

Rose van Mierlo is an independent international research curator, art consultant and lecturer. She was a Critical Writing Fellow at Lokaal 01 (Belgium, 2011), and a post-academic fellow at DNA/Gemak (the Netherlands, 2011). After completing a Masters in Contemporary Art Theory (Goldsmiths University of London, 2015), she curated for Swiss Cottage Gallery (London, 2017) and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, amongst others.

She is a part-time lecturer in Art Theory and Criticism at Metropolitan State University (Denver, USA) and a Founding Director of the intermission museum of art.

Rose’s current scholarly research and curatorial practice are invested in modern and contemporary visual culture and art history, with a particular focus on methodologies of fiction in relation to gender, politics and public space. This interest expands into the fields of film and media theory, critical theory, institutional critique, race and post-colonialism, and the feminist avant-garde.

Tash Kahn

Tash Kahn’s practice is multi-faceted. She works with a variety of different mediums that all bleed into each other through a process of recycling and remaking. Each piece spawns countless others, negating the art object as a whole. Using sculpture, Polaroids, installation, film and collage, she documents the history of everyday life by recording the debris of the present. She is interested in how people engage with art, the conversations it generates and how it makes them feel. Kahn has exhibited both nationally and internationally, with a recent project in Mumbai that saw her work with architects and writers to investigate the domestic space. In 2014, she co-founded the visual-arts project DOLPH, and has helped facilitate 22 exhibitions, making partnerships with two Lambeth primary schools, UAL Wimbledon, The Royal College of Art, as well as numerous artists in the UK, New York and Berlin. DOLPH provides an alternative way for the community to engage with contemporary art, as well as being an invaluable learning and networking resource for artists. She is also a freelance editor for Penguin and Sluice Magazine.
